Leget Finale

Defeating Grenwe

After defeating Scidvange the Party ventures to the cellars below and confronts the Shrine of Grenwe which had been hidden there, corrupting the house. In a last ditch effort Grenwe summons armies of bugs and waves of filth the kill the party. Our party is victorious as the house had been very thoroughly cleared out and few reinforcements were available. After defeating the bugs the Idol was destroyed, or perhaps consecrated and everyone made a Luck check to see how they faired in the battle.

Those that Succeeded  - Describe how you played a critical role in the battle to destroy it. You may gain a positive trait to reflect this experience.

Those that Failed - You suffered some grievous injury, magical mishap or crisis of faith. Gain a new negative trait to reflect this.

You may usually only have 4 traits and a least one needs to be "Negative." Traits are used for XP but can be used to get +1/-1 on appropriate rolls.

Story Threads

I am replacing "Bonds" with "Story threads" on the character sheets. I don't like bonds and you can read about them in the Rule book if you like. Story Threads are a mechanic used in a lot of DW games and represent events and conditions that effect your characters over time. They can represent social, magical or narrative effects on your character. I've changed a few of your Traits to Story Threads. This might include: Workshops, Keeps, Farms, Curses, Diseases, Boats or any other things that can be tracked usefully.

Final Looting

A few bugs and specters lurk around the house but are easily cleared by the party, the only unlooted area is going be Scidvang's Quarters in the upper tower. It has the following items that can be experimented with to find their use.

  1. Censer of Summing - Wt2 A Lantern sized silver censor covered with an intricate design that suggests gusts of wind containing a coiled of white incense.
  2. Zadred's Poison Ring - Wt1 - A solid lead ring set with a baleful orange stone, will stain your finger black if worn for any period of time. Con Check - Add a 1d6 of poison damage to something, take 1 damage on a 7-9, -6... thats when the fun happens.
  3. Cauldron of Keridwen - Wt1 - A small hardwood cauldron, carved with a pattern of interwoven Vines.
  4. Wand of Cold - Wt1, 2d6 uses, Roll Int, 2d6 damage+ freeze effect
  5. A random potion/poison for each of you.
  6. Scidevange had some jewelry on him that I think you looted, that can be divided up. You'll get 100% of value if you stash it, 75% if sold.
Lady Leget
Assuming you simply turn the house over to her(Your option), she will become the Lady of the region and be in your debt. She doesn't have much money but will happily grant you each a boon. Such things could be:
  1. Title or office
  2. Land
  3. Contract
  4. Other things you can think of.
Harsh Winter

The corruption of Grewe has been cleansed from the land and fall turns into a harsh winter. The Lady will impose new taxes to rebuild the Manor and return the town of Leget to it's humble glory. Belts are tightened, the ice hounds come down from the peaks to harry the country side and occasionally keening can be heard from the forest at night. What do your characters do with their free time? We can assume you'll be making enough money to take care of yourself and put some modest income towards your project.
  • Help repair the Manor of Leget
  • tend to the country side
  • build a workshop or house
  • Work on personal project
  • Almost anything
Spring Thaw
Spring brings hope to the region as the people tend to the land and fish the lake. Hopefully nothing bad will happen....

Magnite Mine 3

Players Cole and Mark Since Bum-Ass Billy didn't want to show up again I'm drawing an end to this adventure. With WW on the horizon ...
