Inspiration for this world is primarliy drawn from Conan and Lord of the Rings. Magic is weird, dangerous and mysterious. The gods are far away and a dime a dozen, they could be a long dead saint, an old man looking down from a mountain or a monolith that needs blood every full moon or it destroys the nearby crops. Magic users are a rare breed and generally distrusted by the common folk, unless a monster needs killing of course.
Playable Races
- Humans - Their many warlike empires are always hungry for land and resources. We'll be in a a place like England but there are people of all races.
- Halflings - A hidden people who don't mind taking from the big one. Living normally in caravans or hidden burrows. Roma/Pikey theme
- Elves - A venerable and knowledgable race in decline, every year more of their sacred glades and hidden citidals fall.
- Dwarves - Coal smoke stacks rise from their mountain fortresses, they are eager for trade and industry.
